About Me

Hi! I’m John, but everyone calls me by my last name, Silano. I have 20+ years’ experience in the mortgage industry and a wide array of knowledge in conventional, VA and FHA financing. The most rewarding part of my job is helping customers obtain their dream of homeownership or solidifying their goals with a cash-out refinance or paying off their home more quickly.

I love working for PHH Mortgage because of our great servicing portfolio, which allows for a 1-stop-shop when trying to refinance or buy another home. PHH Mortgage values its customers and shows this with a wide selection of products and servicing options.

When I’m not helping homeowners, I love sports and to be with my family and friends. I am a lifelong New York Yankee fan. I actually started and pitched and won the first baseball game in my college’s history. Mount Saint Mary College. All of my children have attended or are currently attending Penn State University in Happy Valley.I’ve been married for 26 years to my wife Beth. She is an Educator, and we have three children, Allison, Matthew and Grace. Allison is a 3rd grade math teacher and graduate of Penn State, and my son Matt is a Junior at Penn State and youngest daughter Grace is a Freshman at Penn State.
