Your private information is just that — private. And it should remain that way.
We at "PHH Mortgage" (referred to as "phhmortgage.com", "we", "us", or "our") recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of certain information collected about our customers and prospective customers (referred to as "Customers", "you" or "your"). This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, how we use it and how we share it with others. It is our intention to give you an understanding of how we collect your information and the use we make of it in the course of our business.

Aggregated usage tracking is conducted through the use of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and cookies, as described below. Such information enables us to tailor our content to fit Customers' needs better and to help PHH Mortgage understand our audience.

With whom does PHH Mortgage share my information?
As a visitor and user of our website, you may be asked to provide nonpublic personal information such as your name, address, assets, income, Social Security number, credit information, email address and other personal information. As a visitor and user of our website and during your loan application process, you are considered a "consumer" under applicable federal law. During your relationship with us as a consumer, we will not share any of your nonpublic personal information with anyone outside of our company except 1) at your direction and with your consent; or 2) as required or permitted by applicable law.
We may share any or all of the information we collect about you as permitted by law. For example, we are permitted to share information about you with companies that assist us in processing or servicing your loan (such as appraisers or title companies), government entities in response to a subpoena or other regulatory requirement, secondary market loan investors and consumer reporting agencies.
How do I update my information?
PHH Mortgage provides you with the opportunity to update contact and loan information that was provided to us. You may update your information stored in your application online, until it has been submitted to us. Once an application has been submitted, changes must be made by contacting the company directly at (800) 210-8849.
What happens when you link to a third-party site?
You should be aware that when you are on sites for PHH Mortgage you could hyperlink or be directed to other sites that are beyond our control and/or outside our service. For example, if you "click" on a banner advertisement, the "click" may transfer you off of the PHH Mortgage site. These other sites may include sites of advertisers, sponsors and partners that may use the logo of PHH Mortgage as part of a co-branding agreement. These other sites may send their own cookies to Customers, collect data, or solicit information. PHH Mortgage does not control such third-party sites, and, therefore, PHH Mortgage is not responsible for their contents or the hyperlinks or advertising they choose to place on such sites. How do you secure my information when using this site?
PHH Mortgage employs industry best practices and complies with federal regulations in regard to Web-based services and confidentiality of customer data. Our controls include:

- Encryption on all pages/sites where any personally identifiable information is provided or displayed (you can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon on your Web browser, or "https" at the beginning of the website address)
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. We restrict access to information about you to those employees or others who need to know that information to provide information, products or services to you.
